Phoenix Thread

I just bought a a small chicken at the swap this morning. I was told it is a bantam pullet and that it is a Phoenix (which I had not heard of). It is black....very shiny with blue in the sunlight. An upright tail....not too long. But I cannot remember if they gave an age other than pullet.is there such a thing as a black Phoenix? I can only find pictures of those that are not one solid color. I was also told she will lay eggs decently.....which may be an eggxageration. It was five dollars so not terrible if it is not what I was looking for. But still.......

Hello everyone this may be an obvious question but I'll ask anyways to anyone who has kept a Phoenix cockerel do they crow a lot and if so is it particularly loud or annoying ? I would like to get one but I need to make sure the crowning won't cause the neighbors to storm the house with torches and pitchforks LOL

This is the video for the no crow collar.
We just put it on our boy when he started to crow.. It has helped. Not as loud.. We live by A.S.U.
However our neighbors love the sounds of him and our ducks..

That looks interesting but is it humane I don't see how it would work without choking the bird ? Please enlighten me on how it works
