Ah, that bug! Try opening that file in Microsoft Paint and do a "file save as" JPEG picture. Then try to upload the new file again.

What is the maximum photo size that can be uploaded? Apparently my new phone takes some seriously hi-res photos. I keep getting the "photo too large" error....

10 meg I think. How large are your pictures?

Max size is 10MB

It never would show the max file size on my upload page like that though. No idea why not

I would think you could reduce that in the settings?
Not phone savvy tho.

Back in the day pics too large screwed up every ones Dload time on forums(still can).
No reason for them to be huge unless your printing out high quality photo prints.

Bigger is best when entering BYC photo contests. Small pictures are very difficult to judge properly.

Bigger is fine...huge is unnecessary.
But defining 'big' and 'huge' is an issue, resolution for clarity is different than size of file....
...and it can be difficult to understand this, let alone manipulate it.
