Go for it! You can learn a LOT about photography with any kind of set up. It might help you decide what you want/need in a camera if/when you decide to get one.
One thing you can do with ANY set up: Keep your lens(es) clean! Back in the ol' days when I printed in a darkroom, I had to match an already printed print, using the same negative. Couldn't do it. Just could not. Finally I checked the enlarger lens. Covered with fingerprints (not mine
). Cleaned the lens, and the color and contrast came right in on the next print. Dead on, as we used to say.
