But Tabitha I'm sorry to say, but that cockerel is not a Brahma, he's most probably crossed with a Brahma to give him feathery legs, but he's Sussex in all other ways.
Here's some of my Brahma's for you to compare with -

This is a Blue Columbian Buff Brahma cock about 6 months old

Look at the combs for starters Brahma's have pea combs. Though Sussex do have a similar colouring to Brahma's in the light, such as this hen -

the bodies are much deeper. Anyway hope you don't mind my pointing this out and hope you enjoy the pics of my Brahma's.
