These are photos of the 24 guineas that were hatched under my deck early September - all survived and are now nearly fully grown. Just the cutest day watching them emerge from under the mother - especially as a male went and sat next to her when the hatching started, every time one emerged, he popped it under himself until they all hatched. It was quite an amazing experience to witness! As soon as they were all hatched, they left the nest and resumed normal life, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - so I rounded up the babies and put them in a water trough with the heat lamp on them, needless to say the mother was NOT happy! I reunited babies with mother a few weeks into their life - she took them off free ranching and they all returned to the coop every night, impressive to say the least!
I love my guineas!
