My geese get airborne so infrequently and for such a short time period, there is no hope of ever getting any photos of the event.

I'm sad to say that mine are the same way -- only really see them fly much in the fall and winter when the winds pick up here, and then it is only 5 feet up and about 10 forward. I'd have to be out there at the right moment with the camera . . . unlikely if not impossible!

Our geese don't fly at all. Too young, too fat (dewlaps) and or are flightless (Sebastopols) they all sure do try though.

Yeah, the ones i have seen (pilgrim geese) get off ground for a pretty longtime and flew straight at me but very low to the ground. I was amazed to see a Pilgrim especially in the air.
