Ok, I'll give tips on the smudge tool, before you post the next assignment, later.

For grass you usually need a 10 px smudge, what I do with chickens is, I run over it as good as pssible, trying to keep the feather pattern in, with a 5-10 px smudge. After that I run over the area's that still have picture detail, with a 15-20 px Smudge. Do the assignment, and I'll will explain more from there.

A good example:

The idea is not to make it look smudged, it's to make it look like a painting.
