PIC HEAVY! Started 2nd coop.

I'm keeping a close eye on your coop. It's looking awesome! My construction starts in 2-3 weeks - after the 250 ft. wall lining my driveway is done. And the spring planting in the veggie garden. Oh man. Hey - at least we're ATTEMPTING to finish one project before starting the next....

BTW, we got snow here in MN this weekend too. Sigh. Quite the bummer after temps in the 70's just last week.

Keep us posted on your progress. I'm LOVIN' the photos!

I can't believe you have someone inspecting your chicken coop! Especially in what looks like a rural area. Talk about government red tape.....

It's looking great, by the way!

love your coop or i should say chicken house i believe your inspector is a real goat

YES , PLEASE keep the pictures coming , WATCHING CLOSE for the finished product . We are starting this week building our COOP as well . Our 20 babies around about 3 weeks , they WILL NEED ALOT more room QUICK !!!!!!

That is one mighty fine building inspector you have there.

And I just wanted to point out that even if you do plan where the doors and windows are going, you'll most likely change it anyway so really you were just saving a step. Smart thinking.

Nice coop, but I was eyeballing the snowmobiles in the background. Around my neck of the woods snowmobiling is a hobby, not a way of getting around. We only made it out once this year

Boy Oh Boy! What drama this week... It's better than a soap opera!

We finally found some time between rain storms to go work on the coop. The roof was the next part of the project to go up.

During the roof raising, Son #4 started in with how Son #3 didn't know what he was doing and, "I could do that a lot better than you can."
My quick thinking to avoid a possible nail gun injury from Son #3 to Son #4 resulted in a bench building competition.
Here are the results...

By the way, for future reference, their names are:
Son #3, "In a Minute"
Son #4, "Not Me"

But another development... The inspectors showed up yet again!!! How do they know when we are starting to work??? I had to find the answer... So I hired a private investigator and found out the new tennants were talking to the inspectors and having them put expensive upgrades in at my expense!!! What a racket!! And the tennants were paying off the inspectors with food!

At the end of the day, we completed the roof except for the bump out section which we worked on yesterday and hopefully tomorrow. Then we will place the windows and be ready for siding and roofing.

By the way, someone here is a new father!

Ohhh and Watch out for those inspectors.....from the looks of it you are dealing with some heavy hitters there...... Better stock up on scratch just in case....
