I love all breeds, and I think temperament depends on how you raise them, but if I had to choose... maybe EEs/mutts, Polish, and Marans. I also love the look of d'Uccles but haven't kept them (yet)

What are “miniature Silkies?”

I don't have any myself, I only have bantam but I know a breeder which keeps chocolate miniatures and they're roughly half the size of Bantams.

Think of a 3 month old bantam and that's about the size a miniature Silkie ever gets. I've seen some as small as my D'Anver and honestly couldn't believe how small it was!

I believe in the USA you only have Silkies classed as Bantams.

However, over here we have Large Fowl, Bantam and Miniature/Micro Bantam. Some judges won't accept miniature/micro Bantams though since they're 'rarer' and not commonly seen.
