OK Quick poll!

We built the coop a year ago almost and are going to paint or stain it now (ok, I know better late than never!) Two choices here although I will take write ins. We power washed this weekend and plan to paint in the next two.

Option 1:
paint or stain the whole thing eggplant with off white trim.

Option 2:
Stain the whole thing white(ish). Trim on windows and buildings bright green paint and bright pink accents.

What do ya think???????????????/

I always liked the natural wood look.

I think just a clear wood stain would be beautiful.

Second choice would be option 1. I'm going to get under the chair, too.

I like the wood look also. Just curious do you have a fireplace in the coop. Nice coop by the way. I would definately seal the wood.

You have that lovely rustic barn next to the coop, so I think that option two would just not look right. I vote Option 1.


Actually, you could PRIME the coop with white paint. See if you like the contrast of the white to your barn. If so.. go with Option 2. If not, go with Option 1.

.. i think it would be more pleasant to the eye, another color or stain!

Stain it to match existing barn. If not, brick red with white trim, or maybe john deere green with yellow trim, or option 2.

I choose both!! Find an eggplant tinted stain. Get the color but keep the lovely wood!
