I'm pretty sure at 3 weeks that I know who are roos and who are pullets. But I would like your weigh-in as well. I also would like your take on Chick #4. The egg was sold as a Blue Orpington. I think it might be a splash, but I need some thoughts.

Chick #1 -- Cuckoo Marans. I think its a roo.

Chick #2 -- Blue Marans. I think its a pullet.

Chick #3 -- FBCM. I think its a roo.

As an FYI, I do want a couple of cockerels as they will be part of a breeding program for my coop.

I agree with you on the sexing. If the splash was sold in a pen of BBS that's what it is. Sometimes people say Blue Orps when they really have a BBS pen going on. Meaning blues, blacks or splash could hatch out.

So it IS a splash? Yeah, the eggs were sold as BBS.

Yes, if the eggs were sold as BBS you have a chance of hatching out Black, Blues or Splash color. The Splash are my favorite color for yard eye candy in the flock.

This is one of 4 Splash I just hatched out acouple weeks ago in a hatch of 22.

Do you have a pic of a splash hen? Just want to see what mine will look like when she grows up!
