My 6 Black Stars have gotten along fine for 2 years.

Now, the smallest one is getting pecked and has lost a lot of feathers.

I can't keep her with my Silkies because she picks on them.

I have her in her own run with a small coop now, but I don't know what to do moving forward.

Do I keep her alone like that?
Will she be accepted again when her feathers grow back?
If not, what do I do about upcoming winter? Will she be cold all alone like that? I'm in Montana.

Quite often you will find that one or two of the other hens are the ones doing all of the picking on the other hen. If you can identify those two you can try and swap out the bullies for the injured hen after she heals a little. this will reset the pecking order in the main coop. after a two or three weeks you can move the other girls back in but they will be the new girls then. Quite often their so busy trying to work out their place in the flock they forget to pick on the old girl. It doen't always work but I've had pretty good luck doing this.
