I do need to button up some gaps with hardware cloth and maybe cover them all together. My question is- the egg box lid lifts up to be opened but rubs against the roof when you open it. I'm no carpenter... How do I fix it? It also has a gap between the two roofs that leaks. Can I fix both? There's only one ventilation thingy cut in the top. Do I need to do another?

Your coop needs some ventilation for sure. Not sure how much gap is there at the eves. The little gable opening in the peak, is way too small of an amount. I suggest installing a louvered vent into each gable. Something like this.

Since the overhangs are small, louvers prevent rain from getting in.

The gap that you have between roof panel, and egg box roof portion, can be corrected, sealed in more than one way.
First option;Flexible rubber strip attached, and weather proofed/sealed.
Second option; The egg box roof portion made stationary, and gap sealed with, tar, roofing paper, or whatever available to you. You then could make an opening and door on the side to retrieve eggs from side , rather than top.
You do say you are not a carpenter. Well,,,,,,,, many peeps are not carpenters ether, but do try their best to do what they can. Can you get help from a HANDY PERSON that you know???
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :highfive:
