Picking Hens?

Hey Everyone,
I am getting a new coop like this one

I have 4 hen- White Rock, Dominique, Silkie, and Easter Egger ( Americana ) and I might be able to have 3 more and my choices are....Rhode Island Reds, Golden Comet, Easter Egger/ Americana, Australorp, Blue Cochin Bantam, and Plymouth Rock

Get more Easter Eggers. (they're not actually Ameraucanas, and there's no I in Ameraucana

) - The Easter Eggers will diversify your egg basket and some are quite pretty! That or get some Cochin bantams. I like diversity, seeing people with flocks that are more than just the run of the mill Sex Links, Production Reds, and Barred Rocks, but, that's me.

When i first read the topic I thought it said PICKLING Hens. lol

Anyway. I like the Easter Eggers. They make my egg customers happy when they see my pretty blue eggs.

I like Easter Eggs/EE but they are so mean! My EE is really mean... One day I say YOU KNOW WHAT STOP! She did!

I have noticed in my flock of EEs that they are snobbier than my other chickens.

Then get real Ameraucanas.

In most cases they're far more friendly than Easter Eggers, they're just as good of layers, in fact are often better due tot he EE's variance, and will always lay a blue or blue-green egg.
