Picking to get out

I I just had a salmon Forvella chick hatch this morning and she had instead of pecking out of the egg through one whole little and making it bigger and bigger and bigger then wiggling out. Instead she slipped all the way around the circumference of the egg and then pushed out into two even halves of the egg I just thought that was pretty strange any experts have any information on that let me know.

I think they call that 'zipping'
