They are day old's and going in the brooder but these are my first. I have chicks, geese and ducks but wanted some keets for ticks they are bad this year. So my questions is i have all my flock on Purina flock raiser can guineas eat this too as babies? Or do i need to go buy something different just for them?

Any help appreciated. Thanks

Guinea keets need a feed that is very high in protein.
I fed mine a feed that was 26% protein (I think) and I also fed game bird feed since it's high in protein also.
Enjoy your keets!
We've had ours a year and I've only seen ONE tick since I got them!

Congrats on your new babies! But... they really do need to be raised on a starter feed containing higher than 20% protein, or they will grow slow and feather out much slower than normal... they go thru some pretty good growth spurts the first 6 weeks, which the higher protein supports. I'd save the flock raiser until they are at least 5-6 weeks old. Their nutritional needs are close to Turkey poults and Pheasant chicks. Typically Turkey starter or Game Bird starter is used to raise keets.
