How big is the new pen?
Reason i am asking is i noticed peas can fly straight up to get on my`16 foot high feeding platform but they have to have along clear runway to get down without flying into anything, so i think the higher they can go up the longer thye pen needs to be for them to come back down.

Mine free range so i get to observe things not seen in a penned situation, i just wanted to point this out.

This is just the enclosure part, i plan to make the run very long out the front. its in the back of the yard so ive got lots in front to fence in. i noticed that too with my white pair in the kennel. had to make that longer because my roost was about 4 feet up.

We use the backhoe for everything. digging holes, moving buckets of earth, i live in a rolling valley of field and woods and we have stone walls EVERYWHERE. i mean everywere, all the old farmers were crazy about thier stone walls!!!!
