Had a great weekend! Spent Saturday at the Maine Wildlife park and Sunday at the Great Falls balloon festival. Kendra had a wonderful time.
Beautiful white tailed deer. The deer my DD is feeding is really not that tiny, it's just a funny camera angle.
Bears!! Maine black bears, and my little teddy bear.
Saw all kinds of Maine native animals and even a Mountain Lion and Peacocks. Pretty cool. They rescue and rehabilitate injured animals and only cost $12 for all 3 of us. Saw moose, deer, fox, coyotes, bears, fisher (they are huge!!) raccoons, porcupines and even skunks!! Also had birds of prey like owls and hawks.
Great falls Balloon Festival:
They blow up an old hot air balloon and let the kids run around in it. My DH and DD standing beside it, to show how huge they are.
Pony ride at the GFBF. She loved it, wanted to go on the pony AND carousel again and again. I foresee a pony in our future...more for me then anyone, lol!
Festival rides. This is the first time she ever got to go on a ride by herself. Had a great day. Unfortuanately we ended up leaving too early, because it was windy and we figured they wouldn't launch the balloons. We went and got some supper and saw the balloons floating over the town. Dang it!!
