I love watching her tend to the chicks.

Peter, the bunny, wants to play with the chickens so bad but they're all terrified of him! His two story hutch is behind the chicken coop and we let him out each day for a few hours to run free. He never leaves from our yard (we never leave him unattended either). Cloudy is the only one that will run after Peter....to protect the chicks I guess. The other chickens scream, jump and run with their wings flapping when he goes towards them.

I have the same picture in my backyard!! ( minus the bunny. ) Your silkie mamma looks exactly like mine! Mine is Dolly. We now call her Dolly Mamma. She adopted 5 babies of mixed breeds and it's been nothing but adorable love.

No, they're not all silkies. I got them from the bantam assortment bin. I have a silkie, polish and some cochins I think. Here are pictures from today:
