They are now 2 weeks old and everyone is happy and healthy. I found a farmer that wanted the extra roos and he came by today to grab them. I've been having alot of fun watching these little guys grow in the last couple of weeks.

Very nice! Their combs are really coming in. I like the little roost for them. I read about how they will need to have something to start perching on, and I wondered how to go about that. I like how you did it. I'll keep that in mind for mine.

Lovely! I really like the looks of that Black Giant cockeral.

cookinmom ~ as an alternative, my kids pick smallish sized branches off of trees or get them off the ground that have fallen/blown off and set them up in the brooder. The birds love them as roosts, but also enjoy pecking to try to find little bugs in them.
