I had originally built a 4x7 size coop for my girls thinking that 6 hens would work for our family...after several months, 12 BR chicks and a rooster, it became apparent that I needed a larger hen house. So.........my 4x7 became a 7x12 in a few short hours....we will finish it up tomorrow. just tacked on the back wall and threw up some chicken wire until I pattern out those screwy pieces tomorrow above the walls. The nesting boxes were originally on the back of the coop and now are conveniently on the side. We'll see how they like it!! Tons of new roosting space!!
