I thought I had a Ben and Jenn when these pics were taking, but within a month or so Jenn up and sprouted a drake feather so now I have a Ben and Jmatt!

Periodically one Ben loses his drake feather or Jmatt loses his.
Is that normal??

Ben's was gone for months and just recently came back.
Jmatt didn't have one the suddenly did and just recently lost it!

yes losing the drake feather is normal. My pekin mix is in the midst of growing his back.

Jmatt had a little nip on the back of his neck when we first got them.

The two of them had been in a small pen together. The lady that had them mistakenly thought Jmatt was a female and was hoping they would mate.
Well.....Ben was trying by attempting to hold Jmatt down by the neck (hence the sore on Jmatt's neck), but needless to say Jmatt was not having it!

Within a month, the sore had completely healed and they are fat and happy now, no longer penned up and a big lake to swim on!
