Well I am pretty independant, I had shoulder surgery on Oct 30th and I came home and did my own chores, chickens and dogs. I have a 16 year old son and he would of helped but I didn't ask. I did have to ask him to get the egg as I couldn't reach it. Ya it was my first egg, and when you come right down to it, if your honest, it is all about the EGG.

The white one in the pic weighs 30 lbs live weight a couple weeks ago. It was NOT pleasant to carry around to weigh it. I have a BBB that is about 25 pounds. I plan on processing both at the same time.

I think its amusing how you named your turkeys "Thanksgiving" and "Christmas."

Nice birds!!
This time last year I had two old hens. No eggs. Now it's 12 hens, 1 rooster, 4 ducks and 6 quail! So from 2 to 23! How'd that happen???
Still want ancona ducks, but those buffs are awfully pretty.....
