We had some hard rains here today around 4. Here is what my driveway and yard looked like.

This is my driveway covered by the pond. It overflowed and I found fish, frogs, tadpoles, and lizards by the dozens in my driveway afterwards. The green blob of plants is now out in my road and covers over 1/2 of my driveway. I'll take a pic of it at its usual size tomorrow if I can remember.

This is the creek that runs between my house and my neighbor's. The cattails normally obscure the view of the creek.

This is of my front/side yard. Again, creek is usually obscured by cattails.

This is of my back/side yard. Lived here 6 yrs next month and have NEVER seen this much water around.

ETA that we are at the top of the hill.

wow...that's a lot of water.

Didn't get any water in your house did ya? I always get some in my basement on downpours. sigh. Hopefully you all dry out soon.

Wow ~ You got way more rain than we did. We're in Maryland about 45 minutes from D.C. and although everything is saturated and our driveway resembled a creek last week, we're high and dry compared to you!! Pretty wild about all the critters that washed up!

I'm sure there's tons of water underneath our house but nothing inside. The kids were worried we would wash off the hill

. Some people down the road from us had a lake in their front yard

. They work in their yard all the time too and had nice landscaping.

There are big ruts in the paved road and gravels from people's driveways all down our hollow.

It's okay here. We live about 5 minutes from town but far enough away to not be considered "in town". The only problem is that this land was strip mined several years ago and it's hard to get ANYTHING to grow here. Most of land is uphill and not good for too much. There's enough for our house and a barn, plus more than enough to mow that's pretty level though and that's all we really need

Thanks!

We are under flash flood watches through tomorrow morning.

At one point in my life, big cities fascinated me and I thought about moving to one.....then I woke up and decided to stay here

. Big cities are okay but I much prefer living here in the country where everyone knows me and I sort of know everyone LOL

. The worst part is that the closest WalMart is 30 minutes away

. If anyone is interested, I can take some "normal" pics of our place sometime when we dry out
