I recently got these 2 given to me..I know they aren't the best....but please let me know what you think...

She isn't laying yet...if I remember correctly, they are about 4-5 months old...

Very nice head and necks. You may want to bring in some hens with more rolled buns but these guys have nice leg feathering and the color is lovely. I think you have something nice to work with there and we all have to start somewhere.
But I am only a hobbyist and breed for what I like to see more than what everyone else decides is correct. You should visit my website and see what I breed in standard Cochins. I love them and enjoy raising the chicks. Mostly I sell out before I get to see many mature though!

I was thinking that the only thing it looks like needs work to my inexperienced eye is their cushions, but fluff, and their breasts - all need to be larger/more full.

Note - the cock has a few too many points on his comb.


But I agree with Nadine, these are very nice to begin with. I think that you should easily be able to breed for better birds with a vigilant breeding program.
