I've always loved old trucks, especially model years up to about 55...always like the rounded hood/front end styles. And DH loves his projects, whether it's contruction-related or automotive. So we finally found a cool truck to restore

It'd already been painted a few years back, and we both like the color(s), so even if we repaint we're gonna' stick with what's there. There's a lot of mechanical work to do (although it does run), the cab interior is rough, the bed too, no step-side yet...but it's a great start! We figure by the time DS is out of college (4 years), it'll be pristine

It's a 1950 Chevy 3600...we want to keep it as orginal as possible

Nice truck. If the bodywork was done right (no bondoed over rust it looks like you have a good start). Just the straight grille is a big plus. My BF has a 58 Chevy truck. He hot rodded his. Stroked 350 3500 stall convertor with a B&M turbo 350 I believe. 9" Ford posi. It still needs the interior fixed up and the heating system doesn't work. He has fun toys. I have goats and pigs.

That's really neat. Good luck.

GREAT looking truck! I know nothing about older trucks except that I really like them!
