I keep thinking I'll put together a detailed page of our coop production, but for fun, here are some pictures of the finished product. Cost ~$200 in materials--mostly hardware cloth and plywood--though we used recycled wood and parts as much as possible. Thanks to BYC for the design inspiration and Kudos to my talented husband. I can only take credit for painting and decor.

The coop is 3x4 and the run is 3x6 for 3 chickens. We've also got a portable 4x4 run to rotate them around the yard.

Your coop is sooooo cute!! I will have to forward it to my sister I think it may be just what she was looking for!

I noticed the vent holes at the bottom, do you think you will have to cover them during the winter?

I love that you stained the wood, so natural.
I also love the stars and writing. Just a little personal touch makes such a difference!!

Yes, we've got plans to make a baffle/cover for those lower holes. The top holes should be protected by the roof pretty well.
