Yes kasey08 give your young roo some time . His natural instincts are already kicking in by doing his courting steps . I've had them drop a wing and try to shuffle me where they want me

I went out today to check for eggs ( I have then on auction here) in the B/B/S pen. Well the one Blue Cock, came dancing up to me as I was lifting the girls looking for eggs. The next thing I knew, he reached out & bite my sweat pant leg. Feeling the tug, I looked down just in time to see him, doing the "Baby Silkie Dance" on the top of my Muckers!!!!!I've heard of dog's riding peoples legs, but a Silkie riding my boot!!!! I shook him from me, and he proceeded over to the Black pullet. At least he was on the right track color wise, he just got mixed up,black boot, black pullet. At least he is a natural breeder, no AI needed here. lol

My black silkie roo "Midnight" is my lover boy. Sweet, loving, wants to be petted, follows me everywhere when he's out of the coop....but, I'm pretty sure he wants to show his love in a more personal way. I had to have a serious talk with him. I told him I have been married before, I have been divorced for 11 years, and I don't SQUAT for ANYBODY anymore! He was understandably disappointed, but he has 7 beautiful concubines to console his wounded ego. I think he'll be all right without long term therapy.

I thought my Lavender Roo was trying to mate my leg, but I think he was trying to kick my butt! He is a mean little booger.
