Hello All,
My 2yr old Wyandotte was squating with tail down and wings dropped. I brought her inside and started treating her for possible egg bound. After about 2 days I realized it was water belly and drained her. The liquid was dark green.

She was also vomiting a yellow/brown liquid too. So I started treatment for sour crop. I didn’t feed her for 24 hours and started an anti-fungal. She continued to eat and drink after that. However, she was still very weak and looked to be in pain. She lost a lot of weight and I finally made the decision to let her go today after trying for 12 days and no improvement.

Can someone take a look at my pics and let me know what you think was going on? I’m note sure, but it looks like tumors. I thought it was egg yolk, but when I tried to pull some of it off it didn’t budge.

Open to all feedback and thanks in advance!

Sorry for your loss. Is that the liver in the second picture? To me, it looks like metastatic cancer. I’m nit sure if it was from the oviduct, or where, but it has spread to most of the organs. The green ascites fluid is from bile leaking into the abdominal fluid. Usually ascites causes yellow to amber fluid. The green is severe. Thanks for posting your pictures.

Thank you for responding! I’m not sure what’s what, it’s my first time opening up one of my ladies. I figured it was some type of cancer or tumor. I don’t think there was anymore I could have done for her. Thank you again for your reply.
