Picture heavy: Can we play Roo or Hen and what kind of chicken?

I need some help. I thought I bought 9 girls, but I think I have some boys in the group. And what kind of chickens are they? Mutts?

They all look like girls to me,
and I'm almost 100% sure those are Golden Sex Links

even the one that looks like I am strangling it? (I wasn't). A couple of them have bigger, redder combs and wattles than the others, and since I am a newbie to all this, I thought, oh no, roosters. I am not allowed to have roosters where I live.....and I love them all so the thought of getting rid of the ambiguous ones made me sooo sad!

They're all pullets, you can tell by the coloring on the bird's. Sexlinks are bred so males/females look different even as chicks.

The one where you're holding it's neck isn't a roo, as DT chickens said...

Heres one of my Golden Sex Links, at 2 months old, the one with more comb then the other

Your one that is being "strangled" doesn't have much more then mine, and it's probably only a bit older, so it is most definatly a hen

Yeah I thought roo on that one too. But I'm new to this also so what do I know?! I know what you mean though - I love every one of mine also.

Three of them were born April 19, 6 of them sometime the week before. don't know who is who anymore.......some great Mother, huh?

Looks like all red sex link to me. The comb and wattles will get more red when they are getting ready to lay.

But some will have bigger combs than others even tho they are all pretty close in age? Not to belabor a point, but two of them have much bigger combs than the other chickies.
