Picture heavy: Can we play Roo or Hen and what kind of chicken?

oK, thanks for reassuring me. I just love those silly birds and I had no plan if I had to get rid of one or two of them!

pretty sure they're some kinda sex-linked bird (Red, Gold, ISA Brown, take your pick)

Basically if they were boys, ther would have been born white. Girls born red.

And for the record, they all look like girls to me anyway

They are red sex-links
Hens are red with some white
Roosters are white with some red.

oh! That pix was super helpful! Thanks for posting that! I was worried because some have more white feathers than the other (significant amounts of white vs red, but still mostly red).

I am just going to calm down and wait for some eggs, or something.

Thanks for posting this! I bought 13 "straight run" chicks from TSC about 4 months ago, and they were sold as RIR's, but come to find out they were either GSL or ISA's. Would have been nice to know that the cute little white ones I picked out then were roos.
