Here it is, our new coop! We found out that the community center was destroying this building because it was no longer safe for children to play in. With a little TLC we were able to patch the holes. All we have left to do is to put in some nesting boxes and make some doors. Our girls are gonna be happy with the extra room

That's great very funky

As a builder all my life, I can say that the hardest structure to build is one that has no square corner or plumb line. During my years I have seen some that came out that way but not on purpose.........Very nice.

I am remembering building things where I would suggest we do something one way, and explain why it is a good way to do it, because you have square corners and everything is easy to cut up an so on, only to be met with "No, no, It would look prettier this way if it gets thinner upwards" or something similar from my better half. On after touches it's not that bad, but my gosh you have to go through a lot of thinking before cutting if you start with a non-squared frame for something.

*Edit* Oh, and the coop looks really nice. Sort of a Moomin-house feel to it

Thanks everyone! I found out that this was originally a child's playhouse. The design is called "crooked house". I'm surprised that I can stand up inside and not even touch the ceiling. Right now I'm getting the girls use to sitting on the perch.

We have now added a screen door and a large window in the back. Our girls still love this cool!
