picture size problems

I use a regular avatar for many things and it has never been too big before to download on this site for an avatar. Every single thing I have tried says that it is too big. How can I downsize them? Is there something on this site that allows you to downsize the pictures for an avatar? Thank you for any help

I had the same problem when I was trying to put up an avatar picture. I went for a long time without a pic because I couldn't figure it out.

Here is a snip of what it says:
A Quick Update: How To Add An Avatar:

An avatar is the small picture under your userID. Here is how you can add one to your profile:

1) Make sure you are logged in
2) Click the "Profile" link in the top menu
3) In your Profile click "Personality"
4) Make sure you check "Use avatar"
5) Click "Upload avatar"
6) Choose an image from your computer.

NOTES: The image must not be any bigger than 100 x 100 pixels and 15240 bytes (15 KB).

If you can't resize your image try the following:

1) Visit: http://www.shrinkpictures.com/
2) Browse for the image and set the Custom max size to 100 and click "resize"
3) Save the resized image to your computer and then follow the steps above.

So basicaly you go to www.shrinkpictures.com and make sure you check the 100 circle, click browse, select your pic then click resize. The pic will be saved to your computer then. So you click upload avatar then in the list that pops up click My computer then My Pictures and the pic should be right there. Just click on the pic and then Open and last Upload and you should be good to go.
