Just wanted to share some pictures (and an overview of my coop, aka a room in the garage)

The one in the middle is my favorite:

They were piling on top of each other and trying to hold on to the roost.

They're really fattening up! I hope that means they're feathering out nicely for winter!

Thanks! I made the ladder, but DB actually nailed the roost up. He made it to hold over 200 pounds. Hopefully the chickens don't get THAT big!

And of course I did the red and white paint job!

did you get your new chicks yet???

i'm still trying to figure out how to use your math (lost 1 = replace with 10) to work out for me.... i haven't lost one, but surely lost 0 = need 5 more???? hmmmmm...... then i need to get it to apply to henhouse square footage, too - 9 chickens can fit into space designed for 4?..... you're lucky! you have a great coop with lots o' space!!!

That looks nice and its such a good size area too. I could see lots of little chickens growing up in there over many years.

hee hee... I think that's what scares DB... he sees the 'I could add more chickens' look!

My chicks shipped out today!

So hopefully they'll be here by Friday!

I'll crunch some numbers, Turtlechick, I'm sure there's some kind of math that can help you out!
