Thanks! And how would I go about taming, and halter breaking a llama? Do you need a halter made for Llamas or would a horse halter work?

OK I take it a sq bale is a reg. size bale of hay , so If I had a couple of Alpacas that a bale would be enougt for both per week plus some oats and free ranging ..............................................would this be correct.......................... I can see that if over feed or under feeding would in danger the lives and short it correct........................what about winter feeding VS summer feeding would you feed more in winter that summer .............................................................

I'm usually not a Llama fan, though, unless I see that the Llama is actually being put to use, not just a pasture ornament.

Our llamas and alpacas are on pasture all summer long- so no need for hay during the grass seasons. We do give them grain periodically thru the summer just to keep them in the routine of coming for grain. In the winter they get hay 24/7 and grain each day.
