Are those all silkie eggs? Do they also lay light blue? How pretty!

The blue one is my little Ameraucana pullet egg. I threw it in there for fun.

I also thought she looked lav but her parents were a blue rooster and a splash hen. I have been told that these matings have produced a light dove blue color.

Pretty girl I think. Her name is Bella. Here's a more recent picture of her.

X 2. She's too dark to be considered Lavender. She is blue, just in the lighter range of the scale. I love her coloring. She's gorgeous. I have a thing for blue & lavender birds.

Hello, I set my eggs on Tuesday, December 11th at 6:00 P.M. We had to wait till we got home from work....

There is 17 eggs total and they are made up of a couple each of Ameracauna, EE's, OE's, Marans, SBEL's, and Leghorns, whew.

LOL, they hold down the stupid wire bottom that bows upwards, and hold in the heat. I'm hoping that my DH will realize that my poor LG is in need of an upgrade soon. I'm so paranoid of temperature fluctuations, you will also see that there are three different thermometers there, and another is in the lid out of the picture. Of course they all read something slightly different.... and with all shipped eggs, it is all a huge gamble.
