Pictures of first day outside in the sun...one week old today

It's about 75 degrees outside so I figured they could handle about 20 minutes outside to have some fun and learn how to be weed-eating chickens

They did ALL the chicken behaviors, they ate bugs, one RIR took a dust bath, they ate the weed seedlings (at least a few of them), they scratched and pecked and scratched and tested everything.

We got 70 degrees today. It's rough in sunny california

It is so entertaining to watch those little ones explore and discover. Who needs TV.
I can hardly wait to get ours.

so cute! love that dust bath shot. mine just went outside for the first time (at 4 weeks) last weekend, and they loved that California sunshine.
