Since I am keeping them locked up waiting for eggs, I wanted you guys to see their barn.

One possible nest site. Near the food and water.

Another nest site in a stall.

The top of the barn has plexiglass and skylights, so they have a lot of light, but can not get out.

Wow, what a gorgeous barn! Our birds have to put up with a couple of Magnum dog pens, and they don't think much of them: they can't get the elevation they want at night, so they sleep on the roof instead. I notice the hen waaay up in the rafters: now there's a happy bird! Well off the ground and she's got those wonderful Plexi panels to peer through. Beautiful set-up.

Great barn, I wish ours was that high! That is a really great roosting spot it looks like they should have fun with that. I would guess she would use the nesting location near the food and water, she might even hop in the wheel barrow and use that but I would guess the white stall thing would be her choice because it is more enclosed and would give her a safer feeling.

Just one question: With the peacock in that barn all shut up, when he calls does it echo a lot?

I have seen her standing on the wheel barrow before. I should clean that out before next week. I am expecting the first eggs next week. I am going to try to let her sit on them in there.
