Pictures of my silkie hatch!!!!

i'm no silkie pro, but by looking at the basket pic...looks like 2 partridge, 2 buff, 1 white, 2 blue, and the last one, i can't tell if its a black or a dark blue. where did you get the eggs from? i have 12 silkie eggs coming in a day or 2 from MPC (3 red, 6 blue, and 3 white). i just love silkies and think they are so adorable and loving! you've got some very cute babies there. oh, also, how many eggs did you set? wondering what your hatch rate was for these guys.

well i would have had a good hatch had my incubator not went belly up on me. Then when I was running to the next room to plug it into another outlet, in case that was the problem, i dropped it and cracked about 7 of the 11 I had in there. Thankfully I had 9 in another incubator. If I had not dropped mine I think I would have gotten 16 out of the 20.

oh i feel so BAD for you! that must have been hard! did any of the ones hatch that were part of the fall?

Yes! One of the ones that survived the fall I named Crash

that's a perfect name!!! lol! what color is Crash? i would love to have a partridge silkie. they are so pretty! i got my silkie eggs today, most have displaced air cells. so we'll see.

I got mine from member marneypoo and they were packaged very well and I am very happy with the chicks that hatched. So if yours don't do well, maybe you can buy some from her. Here is a link to my chicks I just put on youtube. Okay there are 3 nonsilkie bantams in this bunch.
