I was thinking something like that too. My speckled Sussex also had a stripe like that on her eye like that chick too when she was young, so I also thought speckled Sussex.Or actually maybe speckled Sussex?

I have both a welsummer and Sussex in my brooder (they’re actually family members chicks) and we sometimes have trouble telling them apart.
