We have names for a couple of the chicks. All of the photos are from a few minutes ago.

I am hoping this one is a girl. Don't most EE hens have the chipmunk pattern. If this one is a girl then I will name her Maggie.

I know that this Barred EE is a boy because he already has a niced sized comb. But I convinced my dad to keep him.

My dad is only letting me keep Tucker and any other girls but it looks like the chipmunk looking chick is our only hen right now.

No Cynthia the two buff x blue crosses came from swap eggs that JAB81964 sent me last year. The Light Brahma x Blue Orp cross came from Tuffoldhen in a batch of BBS egg's which she said there might be a mix included.George is doing fine, he went thru his first molt this fall and looks much better color wise but he still has some brassy hackle and saddle feathers. He is a sweet boy and and I love him to death. He and the blue/buff roo "called Drumstick" are the flock roo's for a pen of layers that I have.George is Drumstick's boss. lol

Yes they are.In fact it seems that the roo's are more loving than the hens.

Yes, the roosters are friendlier and calmer than the women. I could let Dusty and Smoky go, but Suede has to stay with me forever. He's three years old now, the big lug. Good boy, my Suede.

He's with a new group of Black Australorps I brought in late last year after he grew up and I knew what I wanted to do with him. I hope to get lots of new blue babies from him this spring!!!
