if i was going to get 6 at the feed store i would need how many feet you would think because i heard there is a 1 and 10 chance of getting a male

I have 4 call ducks (very small) and am getting 2-3 more...Ther is plenty of room for them and they get to free range when its nice out.

Storey's Guide says this.
Ducks in confinement need 5 to 6 square feet per bird, but only 3 square feet if a yard is provided. Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks: This is a really really good book for learning and reference , its worth getting and they just came out with a new updated version.

i could provide yard it is just that they could fly away or get attacked by a predator but could i have some info on the ones from feed stores

feed stores carry a variety of birds usually all in a big stock tank mixed and mingled. Sometimes when picking ducklings you can pick to that look the same now and are to different breeds later. you might ask someone in the store where they get there birds from and what breeds then do some research on them before picking.

its that or quail or pheasants lol i know ducks are addicting but i sort of want to raise everything when i grow up hahahhahaha
