Pictures?!

I am trying to get my picture of my rooster to load and I have it in the gallery but I can't seem to get it to be my avatar! I Can't figure out how to get the link to work!! I am so computer illiterate it's not even funny! Any help would keep my computer in one piece!

Thanks hopefully I can get it I follow the directions but my computer must not have read them!!
