Hi,I am fairly new to pigeon. My brother has a 30 days old pigeon.I dont know whether its male or female. Its parent had fed it very littlewhen it was baby.Because it could produce very feeble sound.Few days ago its father stepped on the pigeon. It stopped sqeeking and they stopped feeding it.My brother is hand feeding him because it cant eat on its own.Its one leg is thinner than the others and it can't stand. Its one leg is kind of sprawled. What should we do?

It is probably too late now you may have to cull.
If it was detected earlier this works at least it has for me.
I would try it you have nothing really to loose:

Check for spayed leg in your squabs every day in future. The sooner it is detected the less time it takes for the straw method to work. Good luck with your approach I hope you have success.

What happens is the socket is not completely formed and the ball is outside and not in place when the bone development starts to form around the socket so it is dislocated. The staw puts the ball and socket in place and in a week or so things are A OK.

Some fanciers line their nest bowls with a piece of old carpet which seems to help prevent spayed leg. I would especially watch this paring in future as they have already displayed a genetic disposition toward spayed leg. Maybe even consider a different pairing if it continues.
