Pigeon Combo Grit

Is pigeon combo grit ok for pullets? My girls are 10 weeks old and I am having trouble finding granite grit.

Pigeon grit is fine to use.

Am putting 2000# of coarse sand in my run for a pathway from gate to coop. It has size from dust to 1/4' in size. I figure that it should provide a lifetime supply of grit for my chooks. kTSC sells 5# bags for $5 each. This is about $8/ton and will serve purpose of a no-mud walkway and grit. A win-win.

Thank you both for the replies. I'm still unclear about the "combo" part. I'm not really sure what pigeon combo grit is. I know what grit is and I know what pigeons are, but don't know what they might add to the grit to make it pigeon combo grit. Is there something special that pigeons need that might hurt my girls?
