Wire is good for cleanliness, but if they don't have access to solid ground or floor somewhere, their nails don't get worn down. I know someone who used to have that and he had to do a lot of nail trimming on his birds. I have tried various beddings and coverings over the years and now I only keep bare wood floors, and scrape and sweep with a broom (and use a shop vac every so often). Everybody has their own preferences, so over the years expect to end up trying different methods until you find what works best for you.

How Often do you clean the floor?

Typically every day or 2. The more often/regularly you do it, the faster and easier it goes. If you let it build up, then it takes a lot more time and effort. Only takes a few minutes if you keep up with it
