I would say it was a newly fledged squeaker maybe only a month old just starting to fly. Could possibly be just a regular side walk pigeon it is hard to say. It looks malnourished and dehydrated in my opinion. I would provide it with plenty of clean water (about a quart) with a tablespoon full of apple cider vinegar added to it and chicken layer pellets. There are pigeon feed mixtures but in most cases they are seldom stocked by local feed stores (at least in my case). I find layer pellets the next best substitute. They also love shelled unsalted peanuts and whole corn.

Here is an example of pigeon feed.

So sad for you both. Sometimes in this season especially as starts, the weakest begin getting culled by sickness.. young n old. It looked to be young feral rock dove species, a feral tumbler/roller or Homer/racer breed maybe with feral. When getting again if fluffed up feed layer crumbles if trouble eating,n can slide layer pellets down its right side of throat if it's not eatin. Cheap wild bird food and cheap scratch work too to mix with in seeing if itll eat at all and adding more later to cut protien content if not flying breeding or showing. Hocum cocoa gave very good look of seed mix. Don't be discouraged and hope you try helping n keeping pigeons again.
