pigeons and doves lifespan

My longest living homing pigeon was 23 years. My current oldest is a 12 year old male, who is still breeding and filling eggs:). It's kind of hard to give an average, but if the pigeons are healthy I would say anywhere from 12-15 years. I'm not sure about doves though as I have never raised them for any lengthy period.
thank you for your info

My understanding is close to what Old Strain Lover has said. I think folks that care for them well and don't fly them see average life spans around 12 years, with some stretching out to 20 years not being uncommon. I don't say this out of personal experience, but just from talking to people that have been keeping pigeons for a long time. I was surprised myself when I heard this.
