I've found willow is smart enough to learn commands fairly fast but doesn't pay attention very well and chooses to ignore

Typical Pyrenees lol plus combination of being a puppy and short attention span, unfortunately. But most Pyrenees have a “what’s in it for me?” and “why should I?” Attitude LOL

It did take time. However she knew basic commands in 2 weeks.

Working dogs at any are suppose to be easy to train i find them more difficult

Proofing them is where it really takes the time! Pikelet can sit but she can’t stay so it is pointless at the moment

Work on offered focus.
Specifically her paying attention to you without you doing anything to get her attention.
I will stand with a treat in one hand hold the hand out as soon as they make eye contact reward. Eventually they just give it to you without treats in your hand.

Sounds like its just untrained to me. 9 month you expect it to be fully trained? Sounds like you gave up

I think spot said she was 11 months old.
And they havent gave up on training her
