Pilgrim Geese thread

also as they get older the males have blue eyes and are white and female gray white brown and brown eyes
Thank you for your help... I did Google pictures of the males and females too. Both these babies are pretty dark in color on their backs but their bills are dark by their faces and get lighter at the end so I am a bit puzzled. I'm hoping female and male. They are super sweet little babies and the head down and neck straight out with their little trills is absolutely adorable!

Thanks for your help Miss Lydia.
Unfortunately we lost the one of the three. From what I heard from my parents(as I wasn't there the exact moment)I think that gander didn't want to kill the gosling but he was rather harsh. The two where with their mother but this one was a few meters away, the first time the gander caught it from its neck and brought it close to the others. Then again the same one got separated from the others, but this time the gander started hitting and shaking it. When he finished the gosling got on its feet and again went close to the others. Today we found it dead outside their coup. I am so sad.

I guess I should give up on the wait and see game... I'm pretty positive we have two males. Which I'm fine with but hoping I won't have to rehome one of them. I get pretty attached to my animals whatever they may be. Although, I'm not particularly happy with the women I bought them from. I'm pretty sure she knew she had males. It would have been much better if she were just honest with us! Oh well, we love our boys and they will have a pampered life here with 5 acres to graze on when they are grown enough to do so. Right now they are perfectly content to snuggle and be loved. :)

What makes you think she knew?
